Every Monday we normally highlight a proposal that we planned. Today, we are excited to share with you a very charming proposal that happened in New York City a couple months ago. No, it wasn’t a Christmas proposal but it did involve a Christmas Tree. Here is the story.
During our interview with Ian, we found out that his girlfriend Hyun had to take a lengthy trip overseas shortly after they started their relationship. Before she left, she got Ian a Charlie Brown Christmas tree and she decorated it with short notes for each day she was gone. Starting a tradition, Ian also later had to go on a month-long trip to Asia so he left her notes on the Charlie Brown Christmas tree for each day he was gone. We knew we had to incorporate the tree into the proposal. Our idea was to have the promises hanging from the tree and memories written on blown up on poster boards and displayed on easels. Since purple was her favorite color, all of the signs and sprinkled rose petals were that color. With a view of the city, the easels created an aisle down to the tree where Ian would propose.
