Mark came to us because he was visiting New York from Miami and he wanted to pull off an epic marriage proposal. Now a little background on Mark; he is a self-made entrepreneur and he is a man who knows what he wants. So he did have a checklist of things that he needed from us. The checklist was:
- Find the most gorgeous rooftop in NYC.
- Get permission from a store that sells Herve Leger dresses to allow us to record in their store.
- Help him propose with Manolo Blahnik shoes.
We definitely delivered! Here is how the proposal all went down. Kristi was told that Mark had a meeting that evening with some potential investors and that she needed to dress to the nines. He took her to BCBG (their VP of Marketing was kind enough to give us permission to film in the store) to pick out a white Herve Leger dress for the meeting. When Mark met Kristi, she was wearing a Herve Leger dress so this was a very sentimental detail.
That evening, Kristi put on her brand new dress (with the hottest shoes I have ever seen) and she and Mark headed out to their “business meeting.” But when she stepped out of the elevator and on to the rooftop, she got the surprise of a lifetime.
She walked past gorgeous arrangements of phalaenopsis orchids which is her favorite flower. She strolled by an 80 inch screen displaying photos of her and Mark, then walked up steps adorned in beautiful lanterns containing candles. As soon as her beautiful shoes hit the grass, a string quartet began to play, “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey.
Mark walked her towards the pool which had their names displayed on the bottom of it. He stood her in front of a huge gift-wrapped box, lifted it up, and she was stunned to find her dream wedding shoes by Manolo Blahnik underneath! If that wasn’t shocking enough, the man of her dreams then dropped to his knee and asked her to be his wife. She of course said yes!
If all of that wasn’t enough, Mark had invited family and friends to come celebrate their engagement with a lovely catered meal. We were so honored to have been a part of Mark & Kristi’s special day. What did Mark say about our service? Hear it from him below. Watch the proposal video here.
